Motion is my way of bringing swimming and fitness together. It’s about helping people move well, feel confident and enjoy the process. Every lesson - whether in the pool or the gym - is designed to be clear, supportive and effective, so progress becomes part of everyday life.

Meet Coach Andrei

I have spent my life in and around the water. As a former Romanian national champion and Youth Olympic Games competitor, I was fortunate to race at a high level across Europe before turning my focus to coaching. Those years of competition gave me a deep understanding of what swimming demands, and now I use that knowledge to support others - whether they are just starting out or aiming for their next performance goal.

For over two decades I have guided children and adults alike to greater confidence and skill in the water. Parents often tell me they appreciate my calm approach and the way I connect with their children, helping even the most nervous swimmer feel at ease. My sessions are designed to be both structured and enjoyable: engaging for energetic youngsters, purposeful for ambitious athletes, and reassuring for beginners who need time to grow.

In my coaching career, I’ve also been fortunate to work under the guidance of coaches with experience at the highest level of the sport, including those who have prepared athletes for the Olympics, World Championships and Commonwealth Games. Learning from their methods has shaped my own approach, giving me a deep understanding of how to refine technique and bring out the best in swimmers of every age and ability.

As a Swim England Level 2 Coach and Certified Level 3 Personal Trainer, I combine proven training methods with clear communication and steady encouragement. Through video analysis, tailored drills and thoughtful progression, I make sure every improvement - big or small - is noticed and built upon.

Above all, I believe swimming is more than a skill: it is a lifelong source of confidence, resilience and joy. I take pride in helping each swimmer develop not just solid technique, but also the self-belief that carries far beyond the pool.

Land Training

Tailored fitness sessions that build strength, mobility and endurance both in and out of the pool. Each programme is flexible, practical and designed for lasting results that fit into everyday life.

A structured learn-to-swim programme for children and adults, from first splashes to confident strokes. Lessons will emphasise safety, enjoyment, and the steady building of lifelong skills in the water.

Private Sessions at Your Pool

If you have access to a private pool at home or within your building, I can bring my coaching directly to you. This allows for a familiar, comfortable environment where children and adults can learn at their own pace. Private pool sessions follow the same structured approach - focused on safety, confidence, and technical progress - while offering the convenience and privacy of training in your own space.

The Value of Private Coaching

Group training is valuable for team spirit and race experience, but even the most dedicated clubs cannot always give every swimmer sustained, one-to-one attention. My private sessions are designed to complement - not replace - club work. They give each swimmer the quiet focus needed to refine technique, build good habits, and work on their individual strengths and challenges.

With my background as both an elite competitor and a long-time club coach, I understand the rhythms and goals of squad training. My private lessons fit smoothly alongside a swimmer’s existing programme, offering a technical boost that enhances club sessions and helps them arrive at practice more confident and better prepared.
